Hang on, Baby!--Hebrews 3:7-19

This is the conclusion of the series in the book of Joshua about fighting our battles.  Sin prevents us from experiencing the rest and peace that God has for us.  With God's help, we battle the enemies of sin and get closer to that joy He has for us.  This sermon was given on December 4, 2016 by Paul Barber.

Live Like It Matters (Because It Does)--1 Peter 1:3-25

To live like it matters, you need to have passion.  This is positive passion, that spurs you on to live out your Christian faith, because it does matter.  This sermon was given by Dennis Steward on October 2, 2016.

At 6:40, Dennis is pointing to his heart. At approximately 9:55, there was a cell phone reading the scripture.  We removed as much of that as possible, but there is still some that bleeds through on the audio.

The Two Churches--Matthew 13:24-30

What comes to mind when you hear the word "church"?  A bunch of hypocrites who care more about the building than the poor?  Sanctimonious killjoys?  There has been much criticism through history, much of which is deserved.  Yet the world has been changed for the better in many ways.  What is the reality?  There is the true church and the false church.  Paul Barber discusses this in a sermon given September 25, 2016.

There is a lot of feedback to the recording, so that some parts are painful to listen to.  After 7 minutes, it is much reduced but still there.

Why Are You Here?--Matthew 6:19-23

"Treasure" has a different meaning for people.  It is not necessarily money.  It is something we value, what is important to us.  We all have treasures.  God wants us to enjoy things, but not to treasure earthly things more than heavenly things.  This sermon was given by Paul Barber on September 11, 2016.

Forgiveness--Matthew 18:21-35

Even after so much time, things today are so much like in Jesus' day.  People like to run up debts. How often are we to forgive?  Not just financial debts.  What creates debt?  What creates wounded hearts?  What will God not forgive?  What are we unwilling to forgive?  This sermon was given August 28, 2016 by Paul Gorham.

Great Men and Women of the Bible series #7--Hezekiah's God

You can read the Bible as history and facts, or you can read it as it relates to you.  Although Hezekiah is a king, we can relate to him.  He had tough parents.  Bullies attacked him.  He was encouraged to give up, that he was crazy for trusting God.  Yet with all his troubles and mistakes he made, Hezekiah finished with God.  This sermon was given by John McDonald on August 7, 2016.

(John was using a standing microphone, which had some problems if he moved away from it to use the white board.  We have tried to adjust the volume to counter that.)

God of Great Men and Women of the Bible series #5--Hannah's God

This sermon, given July 17, 2016 by Paul Barber, is entitled "Mrs. Nobody and her God".  Hannah was a nobody in the eyes of the world, but she was special to God.  Hannah trusted God, even in times of persecution by her husband's other wife.  She didn't face her trials alone, and we don't have to face ours alone either.

(Audience participation was edited out because the audio was not loud enough to hear.)
