Preparedness Series #7: Prepared for the Potter's Hands--Isaiah 45:9

This is the last lesson in the Preparedness series. There are steps to making pottery. You have to get the clay, clean out the grass and twigs, wash it and work it to be ready to form it. God is preparing us (the clay) to make us into something useful. Dennis Steward gave this sermon on September 9, 2018. The sermon outline is here.

Seeking Those Things That Are Excellent--Philippians 4

Guest speaker Bill McLaughlin gave this message on August 19, 2018. As Christians, we face many choices. We need to choose the excellent ones in our morals (ethical choices), our homes, our relationships with others.

The recording has a lot of dropouts in the first 19 minutes. Switching the microphones at that point helped minimize them.

What Should I Do?--Romans 12:9-21

How do we become prepared for something? Often we practice, or do drills. That is how we prepared for Christian life as well. We need to be prepared, to have a plan, for things that may come our way. How do we use the principles of the Bible to do this? John McDonald gave this sermon on July 29, 2018.

There was quite a bit of audience participation starting about 22:40 and continuing thru to the end of the lesson. Parts that were inaudible were deleted.

Preparedness Series #3: Hope Defended--Hebrews 10:23-25

Hope is a promise that cannot be broken. How much hope do we have? Why can we be confident in our hope? Dennis Steward gave this sermon on July 22, 2018.

There was a problem with the sound system until about 3:27 minutes into the recording. It is audible, just a little quiet. If you turn up the volume, be sure to turn it down before you get there so it isn't too loud.

At approximately the 22 minute mark and the 24 minute mark, Dennis has a piece of paper that says "Jesus" that he is asking if anyone would want to come and stomp on it.
